Hello just thought I would let you know about my experience.
In July I found a lump in my right breast gp sent me for a mammogram and then I had an ultrasound and confirmed I had a lump, a biopsy was taken which was very painful at the time but this does depend on which part of the breast it's taken from.
I then received a letter in the post for an appt with consultant to discuss my biopsy, I then found out I had Invasive ductal carcinoma, which I had removed on 20 Aug they took 40mm all together I have healed well...My plan was to have radiotherapy and take a course of hormone therapy medication which I have started but because of my family history I have been referred to have the BRCA test and waiting for the appt
my breast is slightly flat on one side but it's not noticeable when I'm dressed I'm happy with it, I'm just greatful they got all the cancer out.
