Awaiting biopsy results for Breast lump

Hi. I had my first mammogram (I'm 48) three weeks ago. I had no symptoms and felt no lump. After a week, I received a letter inviting me for further assessments. On attending this appointment, I was informed that there is an 11mm lump in the left upper quadrant of my left breast. The Dr could not feel this lump but found it on the ultrasound. She took a core biopsy and informed me that she thought it was mostly likely to be a fibroadanomoa. I'm now currently going through the two week wait to find out the results. Has anyone else had this experience? I'm terrified. Thanku for listening

  • Hello,

I'm 31 and also waiting for my biopsy results. I will go in tomorrow morning to find out what is going on. I have a very hard and large lump in my left breast that's painful (sharp stinging pain). I've been waiting for the last week and I am all over the place. I have no kids or a husband and quite a lone soldier so not a lot of friends either.

The radiologist who done the biopsy and the scans seemed pretty certain its cancer but couldn't tell me the specifics.

I know exactly what you're going through and I just wanted to say you're not alone. Keep your heart and mind at ease. No matter what it is you will conquer it. Don't be discouraged. Stay strong. ️

  • Hi. Thank you for taking the time to reply. You must be terrified. I'm so sorry that you're going through this especially on your own. Covid rules stop me from bringing anyone with me so like you, it's a solitary thing. I'll be thinking of you tomorrow. Please do let me know how you get on. Sending you extra virtual strength. This waiting game is horrendous. xx
