Liver lesion

I had an ultrasound on Saturday and the result came back with multiple gallstones and a simple cyst but also a lesion on my liver. The gp is referring me on a 2 week wait.

im really not coping. I've convinced myself that it is cancer. 
I just need someone to talk to I'm so beside myself. I do have family and friends and they are being good but I just don't know how I'm going to cope

im so sorry. It's probably because I'm tired that I'm feeling worse

    Welcome to Cancer Chat. I know it's never easy when there is this uncertainty and waiting for further information. It's easier said than done but try not to get ahead of yourself or assume anything at this point. You have a referral which is good and hopefully it won't be too long before you find out more.

    Many people say it helps to keep busy and distracted while waiting for more information, to help keep your mind off things and to prevent dwelling on it.

    This forum is always here for support should you need it at any point, or even if you simply want to write thoughts down.

    I'm in the same boat. Ultrasound showed a lesion on my liver, I too am being referred for CT/MRI scans.

    Gallstone found too. Have had abdominal pains for a few weeks, albeit on the left lower side.

    Liver function tests in recent blood test all normal.

     

    The wait is an absolute killer.

    Thanks Ben for taking the time to reply. I really am trying to take 1 day at a time. I have only managed to get back on this site today and am slightly calmer than I was when I wrote the post.

    Hi Guderian

    Thank u for contacting me. I don't know about u but I have spent so much time googling. Not a good thing but I'm trying to convince myself that I have 1 of the 'common' lesions that I keep reading about and hopefully you do too

     

    its so strange because I have not had any symptoms really. It all started a couple of months ago with a couple of attacks in right hand side upper abdo pain and now suddenly I have these multiple gallstones biggest being 1.8 cm. 

    If I didn't have them I would never have known anything about the liver lesion.  The only other thing I had and have is tiredness but that was put down to low ferretin which after taking iron tablets did improve. I have also lost nearly 2 stone but I'm trying to convince myself that that is due to hardly eating anything

    Not yet.

    Had the MRI scan this evening, they gave no indications but advised I'll have the results in about a week.

    Frustrating to wait but can't be helped.

     

    Saw a consultant yesterday, she's convinced my symptoms are consistent with gallstones. 
     

    How about you, how did your telephone consultation go?

    Hi

    Was just asked about my symptoms and said she would go back to the consultant and he would decide if I have either ct or mri. I've not heard anything since. 

    Let me know your outcome. Your symptoms are very similar to mine. I also get pain to the left side

    I am still waiting for MRI results - tried chasing but to no avail thus far. It's infuriating.

    Hi 

    they have booked me for a ct with contrast on chest abdomen and pelvis for Tuesday evening. I'm petrified. 
    The waiting for the results must be awful. Totally feel for you and I'm probably going to be saying the same next week. Let me know

    Will do. How are you feeling physically (apart from the worry)?

     

    I feel pretty normal - that fills me with quiet confidence at least.
