I'm four weeks post superficial parotidectomy and feeling a bit low.

There doesn't seem to me much info out there about it except for largely American medical sites which pretty much depress the hell out of me.

I was diagnosed with a 8mm tumour which turned out to be 12.5mm when removed. I'm not sure how two scans (MRI and Ultrasound) would have got the size so wrong. That pretty much floored me because now I'm thinking its a fast growing type rather than the low grade slow growing type that the consultant said I had.

I haven't been given any radiotherapy, just six weekly checks at the moment.

Is there anyone out there with the same type of salivary gland cancer and if so, can you share your experience with me as i think it might help?
