Hey Anii, how are you? Just wanted to reply to your post to say there is always somebody here for you. I have just finished treatment for endometrial cancer as well. Here if you need to talk.
I'm alright thanks. I hope you are feeling better now. My treatment is due to start in 5-6 weeks because my wound has not healed yet from the surgery I had.
Hey there. Was your surgery radical hysterectomy? That's what I had then my first chemo was 5 weeks from that date. How are you feeling?
I had;
Total hysterectomy
Ovarian debulking
Fallopian tube removal
Omentum removal
Lymph nodes removal
basically everywhere the cancer reached. Now it's advanced to my lungs and the chemo they will give will not treat it but only slow it down for some time. Thereafter I will be given radiotherapy.
its a lot to take in as a 25 year old young girl with ambitions but I'm strong and will fight it!
Anii, yes you will!! It is a lot to take on at your very young age but there are many on this forum with stage 4 and still going strong. It is really important to take it one step at a time, otherwise it can be quite overwhelming. My op removed womb, ovaries, Fallopian tubes, cervix, top of vagina and U had 15 lymph nodes taken out. I was then told I needed chemo, radiotherapy and brachytherapy. It is a lot to think about but I really believe in taking one day at a time, and I made it to the end, as you will. People on here will talk about staying positive, and there will be many days when you are not feeling like that, but you are already talking about giving this everything you've got and that really really helps. You've had your op, so already you are making great progress. Make sure you get plenty of rest and eat well these next few weeks in preparation for the next stage. You will get plenty of support on this Forum when you need it, always somebody here for you. x
