my daughter died aged 42 years old from glioblastoma multiforme in July 2019 and my husbands cousin also died of the same thing. Although we were told that as far as they know at the moment it is not hereditary, I have read that her son who is now eight years old does have an increased risk of also having brain cancer.

Hi Kim, I read your post and had to reply. I'm so sorry to hear you have lost 2 siblings to brain cancer and a sibling to motor neurone disease, how devastating for you., My younger sister, aged 48, passed away April 2019 of Glioblastoma, my father had a benign brain tumour which he had removed and now has dementia and is in a care home, my mum had a brain tumour which mastisised from lung cancer and passed away 2004 and I have an older sister who is mentally handicapped. I asked my doctor if there could be a genetic disorder and he said we were 'unique' and very unlucky!!! Are we really that unlucky? Surely there must be a link. Take care too, Tracey
