Enlarged lymph nodes

Hi, I've been told (after 2 ultra sound scans and a ct scan) that I have enlarged lymph nodes in my neck, chest and abdomen. Only found them because I had a pea shaped lump on neck which turned out to be nothing. I've had 3 cell biopsies which have turned out to be inconclusive.  Im have a lymph node removed on Friday for a full biopsy. Just wondering.  They are enlarged but not massive. And haven't grown that I know of. So do you think they will be ok????? Im 48 and a little worried but trying to be positive  i have lost weight  but that seems to be holding steady atm

  • Hi Sarah and welcome to the forum.

Unfortunately no-one here can say what the outcome of your biopsy results will be but we're thinking of you and will have our fingers crossed for good news.

Many of our members have been in similar situations so I'm sure some of them will pop by to offer their support to you soon as well.

    Kind regards,

    Hi Sarah,

Steph is righ. Short of having a crystal ball nobody can tell. Once your lymph nodes are removed they will be sent to pathology to see if there is anything untoward present. It usually takes 1-2 weeks to get the results back.

I know that this is an anxious time, but try to keep yourself busy to distract yourself from this wait. Please keep in touch and let us know how you get on. We are always here for you.

I wish you well for tomorrow and, am sincerely hoping that you will get good news.

    Kind regards,
    Jolamine xx
