Good evening all.
I do not have a diagnosis yet, but everything seems to be pointing to multiple myeloma.
It all started with me having hives of all things, and a routine blood test at the start of July picked up an abnormally low platelet count in the 30s. Doctor panicked and asked for a repeat incase it was a fluke. Several blood tests later, I have been tracking my results and have had many, many, many (!) abnormal results. Mainly white blood count, red blood cell count, platelets, estimated sedimentation rate, IgG level, kappa and lambda light chains, and protein electrophoresis.
However, my doctors have left me to discover all these results on my own, meaning I have turned to Google as they have not even phoned me to discuss these results! A CT scan was requested by another doctor, due to severe, intense headaches, but they are not sure if it will be done due to Covid, so it may be a few months wait.
I already have osteoporosis and have had multiple fractures.
I'm not sure where to go or who to turn to regarding these results to be honest.
I am suffering infections now with increasing frequency, the fatigue is crippling and the headaches and joint pain make me dread the morning coming. Paracetamol doesn't touch the pain at all, and I'm allergic to ibuprofen and codeine!
Hoping that anyone can give me a bit of advice on where to go from here really!
Wonderment x
