Forty seven years ago our eyes met across a crowded room. I was a student on the way to an engineering career and she was just starting in pharmacy. I thought I'd never seen a girl so beautiful, and amazingly she fell for me as well.
It really was love at first sight, and we've been together now for the best part of half a century.
This morning it turns out that the lump on her scan probably is a cancer. We don't know if it is, or how bad it is yet, we need more tests.
We are both pushing pension age, and still as madly in love as teenagers.
I've got a lot of learning to do. I hope this site can help.
