Oh sorry to hear your experience was so traumatic. It does sound like it was very painful for you and I hope you feel better now and have recovered from it all. Just as well you did  get a cup of tea! I bet that was much needed.

I've had a colonospy and it was not at all this traumatic. It sounds like they didn't take care of you at all and were very rough, you shouldn't of been treated this way. I'd honestly make a complaint! I understand the hospitals are under strain but it's not hard to be kind and understanding.

I had same expierance about 5 years ago with mamorgram .... they were in a mobile unit .. talked together as if I wasn't there ... Told to take clothes off and go in there .. no hello no chat to make me feel more relaxed .. I also asked to not go too hard as l had lumpy boobs that were painful if pressed hard .. she said nothing but rolled her eyes .. and she crushed my boob so hard, I was crying .. 

I walked off without the other one being done .. not one word to console me.. just looks of utter dislike .. 

I never complained, just refused to go again .. little did I know the other boob did have a cancer lump .. that I left for two years because of that expierance ... it was found on an x ray two years later .. I had a total right masectomy... which I found very little pain .. and two drainings... and two more lumps taken out with local anasthetic,  and my wound was opened 4 times in all .. that was no problem .. everyone put me at ease .. and like you I have a high pain threshold ... 

I'm so lucky to still be here ... I wish I could go back and complained ... other mamorgrams sinse on other boob have been done with care and compation ...

If anyone reads this thread who do these tests on us, please remember we are just human .. and a bit of caring goes a long way ... it maybe common to you, but those expierance stays with us always ... 

But to those who have a kind word and compation, which thankfully are the majority... I thank you and it costs nothing to be kind ... so please tell someone the pain you felt and the treatment you recieved .. you may stop someone else being treated like that .. I wish I had ... Chrissie ....

Im so sorry you had so much pain during your colonoscopy. I know only to well as ive had 39 of them, and have to have them for the rest of my life.  I had the right side if my bowel taken away  in 2014 as i had  pre cancerous  flat sessile polyp ,and lots of benign polyos previously.  Its the prep you have to take before that  i hate.  I always take the sedation  that im offered ,it  doesn't  put you to sleep but it does help you to relax .  What you experienced  sounds dreadfull, and it shouldnt of been that way. Colonoscopys  can save lives,i know it probably saved mine because the pre cancerous sessile polyp would of turned into cancer if it wasn't found. Please dont let this put you off of having another if needed.
