HPV scared !!!

So i got my results back I am 25 first smear come back with hpv I am so worried and 12 months to wait to know and this can be passed on even with protection!! I also have 2 spots that are whiteish in my lady parts did anyone have them and it's just part of the HPV virus. ? As I did read this but I am thinking the worse thing ever that I am going to be left with a sti for life anyone help me out with information please! X
