Newcomer

Hi all.  I was diagnosed with cancer this week, probably in my right tonsil. It presented as a painless lump on my neck, and an ultrasound and FNA last week confirmed cancer cells in the lymph node, ‘likely tonsillar in origin’. Wow! Something of a hammer blow!
It’s all been a bit of a whirlwind since I found out on Monday and naturally I’m very anxious. I’m a 63 year old white male who enjoys a drink so pretty much tick the boxes.
I’m having a CT scan today so should know more after that.
This forum is a great comfort. I’m trying to stay positive for the sake of my wife and grown up kids but if I’m honest I’m struggling.
