Where to start

My son is having his testicle removed today with a 99% chance of it being cancer.   I am absolutely devastated.   After surgery his care is being transferred to a cancer hospital.  Is this bad ?  Is it good ?   Hes being told that there is a strong possibility he may not need further treatment .... but to prepare himself for some kind of preventative treatment.   I feel so helpless...    I dont know if I have even posted this in the right bit..

  • I'm not a medic, but know that the outlook for testicular cancer patients today is absolutely brilliant. It really is a success story compared to, say, 50 years ago when it could be a death sentence. Cure rates are close to 100%, I believe. Your doctors will answer any questions you want. Good luck to you and your son. Harry
