New to chat

Hi all, new to this chat... I am married with 3 grown up sons. Just had a uterine biopsy taken today following a pelvic and vaginal screening that canr back abnormal so got a 2 week referral. I'm just a bit concerned cos when spoke with consultant on phone due to covid 19, she explained that I had some fibroids, common I know so not concerned but also said scan showed uterine polyps and there was an area that they call echo bright area. She told me that they would try a d do biopsies through a pipelle, failing that due to a past endometrial ablation I would have a hysteroscopy. I'm concerned cos doctor didnt get polyp biopsy just uterine one, there was no mention of doing the polyp one at end of appointment . Should I try and contact the clinic to ask if I will be sent for it. Sorry to ramble on my 1st chat but I'm just so worried that something will get missed.
Thanks for listening

  • Hello Nuttall

I'm sorry to  hear that you've had some health problems recently which have needed further investigation.

As you've got some questions about your procedure and what had previously been discussed it might be an idea to give the hospital a call and ask for clarification just to put your mind at ease.

I hope that you don't have to wait too long for the results and that they bring some reassurance.

    Best wishes,
