I’ve just recently undergone the Whipple procedure and was wondering how long it was before all drain tubes were removed. My operation was around 7 weeks ago and I’ve come out of hospital with a drain tube left in. Volume coming out was around 30 to 40 mls over a 24hr period but over the last few days it’s increasing to over 200 mls over 24hrs. Has any one else experienced this and if so how long before it totally dried out ?
