Really worried and scared

Hi I am 21 year old female I have noticed I get rectal bleeding when I’m on my period only and I was just really worried as to why this could be. I don’t have any other symptoms or pain. Could this be a sign of cancer I have researched online and it has said rectal bleeding is not normal during a period. Has anyone experienced this before I am really worried

Hi Flower,
I did have some bleeding "back there" when I was younger and found out I had rectal fissures (caused from straining). The doctor gave some cream to use to heal it, it worked. I think you should just go get it checked out, if possible, to put your mind at ease.

Hey thank you for responding! I just find it a bit confusing as to why it happens when I’m on my time of the month. Will definitely need to get it checked out. Thank you! X
