Colon Cancer Night Sweats - Solution

Hi everyone

I have previously had anal/vulval cancer.  After a recent bout of anaemia/jaundice and admission to hospital I was informed that I have a growth in the colon.  I have also been experiencing night sweats 4-5 times per night.  I was having to change clothes and bedding as it was soaked through.

I found a site that advised to sleep with a cotton towel around your body (like you just got out of the shower).   I have been sleeping in the towel for over one week and have not had a night sweat.  I am shocked how this works but I am now having a more restful sleep.

I would highly recommend anyone who suffers from night sweats to try this out.

Good luck.

  • Hello Natalie,

That is a great tip thank you! I am sure it will be useful to anyone finding themselves in a similar situation. I am glad that the cotton towel around your body is helping you sleep better and preventing you from having night sweats. If you haven't done so already, do mention these night sweats to your doctor as they may have some additional suggestions for you and also just to inform them that this is currently happening to you and to ask for example whether these are related to your colon cancer diagnosis.

    Best wishes,
