Lump in left arm pit

Hi everyone, I’m here just to share my journey so far,but don’t want to bore you..

i found a lump in my left arm pit almost 11 weeks ago, due to Covid 19 I couldn’t get to see my dr They (closed surgery)  only seeing certain few, although I kept phoning and telling m problem .no way was I seeing any Dr.

so I took myself to the Walk in Cente and was seen within 4 minute by a lovely nurse. She checked me over, then called a colleague over and both said it was an egg shaped mass. 

The then wired my GP who then phoned ..lol

i am now due for a ultra sound at breast clinic on 10th. Feeling very let down by the health service..

    I noticed you haven't had a reply yet so I just wanted to quickly stop by to welcome you to the forum.

    I'm really sorry you weren't able to get in to see your doctor although it's great that you had no trouble being seen at the walk in centre.

    There are many members here in a similar position to yourself so hopefully some of them will offer their support and kind words to you soon but in the meantime I wanted to wish you all the best for the 10th and let you know we'll be thinking of you.

    Hi Maggie, just a little message to say I'm in a similar boat except I just ignored the lump convincing myself I was imagining it. Had a telephone consultation yesterday and a face to face examination today, GP has referred me for an ultrasound. I feel so silly for not speaking to a GP sooner and now really worried. Wondering how quickly the appt will come through and praying it doesn't fall on the day im off work with the kids each week .  Hope your appt goes well on Monday.

    Hi Maggie,

    Welcome to our forum. I am so sorry to hear of the problems that you had trying to get seen by your GP. We know our own bodies best and, sometimes we have to push to get things done. I am glad that you took the initiave to go to the Walk in Centre and, that they have contacted your GP.

    I am sure that you are feeling anxious as your ultrasound appointment approaches, but I sincerely hope that all goes well for you.
