Hi!

I've recently had an abnormal smear, the results stated that I have HPV and that I had low grade cell changes. Was referred to colposcopy, the consultant thought my cell changes were more severe than low grade and therefore carried out a biopsy and told me I'd probably either need a deeper biopsy or the cells removed. 

At my colposcopy appointment the consultant and the nurses could not have been nicer and put me at ease. The biopsy only hurt for a few minutes and I only had slight bleeding and discharge for about 4/5 days after.

I finally got my results today after a very anxious four week wait and my biopsy has come back normal- which is a huge relief and I am only required to have a smear test in a years time.

I just wanted to write this as I was so worried throughout the whole process and thinking the worst case scenario, with lots of intensive googling which is never helpful!
