Waiting times for a great clinic

Hi ladies I just joined today as I wanted to ask a few questions. I found a lump in my breast about 6 weeks ago it's not a lump as such it's almost long but feels a little hard to determine the width. Did anyone have a shape like this? It's definitely not round.  I was referred to a breast clinic 3 and a half weeks ago and still haven't heard anything is that normal? The GP said she wasn't worried and said I shouldn't but since I've been through IVF and about to go again she wanted to be safe. Thanks in advance for any replies xx

    Hi Jendance,

    Welcome to our forum. Did your GP send an urgent referral to the breast clinic? If this was the case, then you should be seen within 2 weeks. With your IVF issues, I would have expected that your referral would have been urgent. It might be worth clarifying this with your GP first.

    I have had 2 bouts of breast cancer and both of my lumps were a similar shape to the one you describe. I have also had a benign lump which was a similar shape. The only way to be sure is to get it tested, which is why you have been sent to the breast clinic.
