Scared

Hello,

I am the daughter of a 64 year old amazing mother. She was diagnosed with stomach cancer 4 weeks ago.

Her treatment plans is 4 cycles of chemo, op and then another 4 cycles of chemo. The doctors are saying they have caught it early and it has no spread anywhere.

she had her first chemo last week, (FLOT). She was ok

for the first two days but since then she been suffering with sickness, neausea and really restless.

I am so worried about how she will cope with her upcoming treatments. We are a close knit family but already we are all really anxious about her side effects and how she will manage mentally.

she has already lost lots of weight. I have two young children and live far and to think how she will manage when we go home.

I feel like I can't show my emotions to my loved ones as I don't want them to worry but I know deep inside they are suffering the same way emotionally.

I am seeking to see if anyone knows someone whose treatment has been better after the first chemo. I am basically searching for hope that she will get better with each treatment.

Any advise will be very much appreciated
