Worried about mole help!

Hi,

I was at the doctors for a mole check recently and she reffered me to a derm for peace of mind. I went down to her again over a mole I was concerned about and she said just to show it to the derm because theres no point in me coming back down to her over every mole.

I recently started checking my moles more closely and noticed that one on my breast (perfectly circular and brown) has dark dots running through it and I'm so scared.

My derm appointment wont be till August or latest November so I'm freaking out!

    I'm sorry to hear that you're dealing with some health concerns at the moment. It sounds as if you're feeling very anxious about things. 

    We know that waiting for appointments can be a particularly difficult time for some people. Sometimes it can help to talk things through with someone so it might be an idea to give one of our nurses a call. I'm sure that they would be able to offer some information and reassurance whilst you're waiting for you appointment.     Hi,

    If you are still under a dermatologist have you been diagnosed with melanoma or dysplastic moles? If so, I would give your consultant's secretary or one of the specialist nurses a ring & tell them you have found a mole that is concerning you. They should be able to bring your next appointment forward so you aren't worrying for too long. If you haven't been given a specialist nurse's contact number, just look on your hospital's website & they should have a contact number under the dermatology clinic details.
