Introduce yourself polycythaemia vera

my son 22 year old was abroad diagnosed with polycythaemia vera a rare bloodcancer.

he is now seeing a team in London.

does anybody has polycythaemia and could tell me a bit about . what is the difference of the two?

they very possibly wrongdiagnosed him and he is in middle of test and checking it out.
