Ongoing low grade Fever

Hello there my name is Chris i am 31 years old and have been having fever for nearly 4 months now. I wasn't getting any answers from my gp due to covid 19 hence why it has gone on this long. To cut the story short I went into A+E to get checked over was kept in for three days covid test negative bloods no sign of infection CT scan from neck down to pelvis and all was fine also had a echo of my heart and all was fine also. They basically couldn't find anything wrong and also I was getting my temperature taken while in hospital using an inner ear thermometer which showed no fever at all during my stay. Now this is confusing to me as I use a non contact thermometer at home which shows I have a fever and also been checking it on my partner and he shows normal fever. My fever seems to be sitting at around 38 it was going higher than this a few weeks ago but seems to come and go also. Anyone Any ideas why this could be happening as it's stressing me out

  • Hello Christopher2020,

Thank you for posting. I can appreciate that your symptoms must be worrying for you, but it's good that your tests showed nothing serious. Unfortunately, we cannot help you get a diagnosis, only a doctor can diagnose you. You may want to consider getting a second opinion and you can find out more about this here

    I hope you this helps,
