Hi, I found a lump last weekend, saw GP Monday morning and had urgent referral given. The breast clinic rang on Thursday to do information gathering and she said her secretary would ring in the next day or two with an appointment and I'd be seen probably within 10 days. Needless to say they haven't rung yet and I already suffer from crippling anxiety so I'm going slowly mad. My mum had breast cancer at my age and she didn't even get as far as finding a lump as she lives in the states and had a mammogram as standard part of annual physical. How do you cope with the waiting? It doesn't hurt but the constant prodding to make sure it hasn't vanished on its own is beginning to make it a bit sore.
