Atypical Endometrial Hyperplasia

Hello everyone I don't know who to turn to or speak with, I had a internal scan done yesterday afternoon to be told she saw Atypical Endometrial Hyperplasia. I have come into sheer panic as I suffer anxiety so I don't know what to expect. I was wondering if anyone else has been through this or going through it? Thank you all so much

Hopefully some of our members who have experience of this will offer their support and advice soon but if you'd like to speak to one of our nurses about this then you can give them a call on 0808 800 4040, Monday - Friday between 9a.m - 5p.m.

  • Hi,

I have the same diagnosis but done through hysteroscopy a month ago, I thought the only way to diagnose was through samples being taken as the cells need to be looked at under a microscope to confirm atypia? I have anxiety too and am trying to stay positive that if they havent said its cancer then hopefully its been caught early enough for none to be present.

After much deliberation with my gynocologist, Im booked in for a hysterectomy in 2 weeks. I was offered a coil initially but as my BMI is over 30 the risks are higher for it to turn into cancer so the Dr changed her mind on the best way forward. Try not to worry too much before they have actually given you a plan of action and definitely get a second opinion.
