Breast indent

Hi I'm new to all this! Had a colposcopy yesterday after an abnormal cervical screening and everything turned out to be fine. But now something else has came up (yay) Was just wondering if anyone has found a dent or dimple in their breast that has turned out to be nothing of concern? Everything on Google is pointing at worst case scenario. There's a small dent in my right breast close to my nipple that's more obvious to feel than see if that makes sense. About to phone my GP just now but just wanted even the tiniest bit of piece of mind. Thanks!

  • Hi Laura,

I too have found dimples in my right breast recently.
I have my fast track appointment on Monday.

Like you say everything on google is pointing to worst case scenario

I too would like to know if anyone has had this and it turned out to be nothing.

    Thanks

    Sam ️

  • Hello! I too last night found a dent in my right breast. It's more near the bottom under my nipple. As soon as I saw it I booked an appointment with GP. I have no other symptoms I dont think, although google has convinced me into thinking I have 'orange peel' skin but I'm trying to stay calm that it is just loose skin or something.

I am 28 years old with a 1 and a half year old girl. Have been referred to the clinic which might take 2-3 weeks but I will try keep you all updated! Would love to know how you get on too girls. I cant lie I'm really scared.

Sorry that it has to be because of this that we are chatting. Keep well and best wishes x

    HI Laura, Sam and Am,

    Welcome to our forum.

I am replying to all three of you together, as you all seem to have similar symptoms. I see that you have all been researching on Google. Our advice is always to try and stay away from Dr Google, as much of the information is out of date, poorly researched or aimed only at the spectacular cases. I am glad to see that you are all contacting or have contacted your GPs to follow up on these.

I know that this is a worrying time for you all, but you will feel better once you know one way or the other.

Unfortunately, most of us on this site are cancer pilgrims ourselves and don't have the medical knowledge to give you the assurances you seek. Mind you even doctors can find it difficult to diagnose just by examining the breast. I am sure that if there is any doubt at all, you will be referred to the breast clinic, as the tests done here are the only certain to diagnose and grade a cancer.

Do please keep in touch and let us know how you all get on. We are always here for you.

    Here's hoping for good news.

    Kind regards,

    Jolamine xx

  • Hey girls! How did you get on? Xx
