Hi all 

I've Been having on and off spotting now for a month . My last period also lasted longer than usual I'm 38 and this have never happened previously. 

ive had a transvaginal, full blood count and hormone test and thyroid . I've also had swabs for infection . Everything has currently come back okay 

Due to smears just being a screening and not diagnostics, my doctor wouldn't refer me for one which I understand . Today I paid for one privately , and bled . She said everything looked okay however ? Although not sure if she was just saying that ?

I am terrified and my anxiety is through the roof . Can anyone advise if it's normal to bleed after a smear ? 

has anyone else had anything similar happen ?
