Hi,
I'm a 31 (nearly 32) year old mummy to my 5 year old daughter and happily married.
i have been experiencing problems with lots of mucous when I go to the toilet for quite some time now... I'd say 2 years? In the time I've been very tired, had a few blood showing I was slightly anemic but would soon be normal again, I went to my drs last year with a very severe bout of mucous and stomach pain but was sent away, these symptoms seemed to subside and I felt better but still had mucous, up until around 5 weeks ago when my stools turned very long and thin, I left it a couple of weeks to see if it corrected itself but didn't, I have been to my GP who has checked my back passage, done blood tests (which are normal) and now waiting on 3 stool sample results. I have obviously looked online at my symptoms and have driving myself into a total panic, I explained to the dr that this is what I'm scared of, and he pretty much said because of my age and blood results and general risk factor and that with Covid, he would be unlikely to send me for an urgent camera referral to have a look. I said to him but all my symptoms are not right at all, but he just kept telling me my bloods being normal that it's good news I just need some help or advise because I feel like I'm not being listened to and I'm just scared this has gone on long enough that now I'd be losing precious time in getting myself better if it is cancer.
sorry for the rant- just a petrified mummy
