Jak 2 Mutation Test

Hi Everyone

I was just wondering if anyone could tell me how long it takes for Jak 2 Mutation test results to come back? I am currently undergoing tests for possible stroke and/or Polycythaemia.  I had a venesection 2 days ago with another booked for this Friday and a follow up telephone consultation on 23rd June........  I received a phone call from the admin team to say that my bloods are fine and to cancel the venesection that was scheduled for today (Friday).  I am quite confused as to "my bloods are fine" ???  I have left messages for the Haematology Unit to call me back but I'm guessing I won't receive a call now until after the weekend.  So I just wanted to know how long Jak 2 results take to come back.

    Hello MemeMads, 

    I just noticed you hadn't yet had a response and just wanted to welcome you to our forum! I think it might be worth giving them a call again tomorrow morning and asking them how long it might take for your results to come back. They will be in the best position to tell you more about your results. It's a good sign it seems that they told you that your bloods are fine and I hope you get further details and information about this very soon.

    Thank you for your reply.  I am due at the hospital tomorrow for an ultrasound of my carotid arteries so will pop across to the haematology unit in person & ask them to explain in detail.
