E..T and coronavirus

Hi.  My name is Sue, just found this forum site whilst doing a bit of digging around for info on E.T. and Coronavirus. I was diagnosed some 3 years ago now, all is well but I am concerned with trying to look after myself in this current situation. I do work, was advised back in March to shield myself for the 12 week period mainly because of where I  work, in the local supermarket. As the 12 week period is now coming to an end I'm a bit confused as to what I should be doing next. There doesn't seem to be any guidelines out there for us 'shielders'. Is there anyone else in the same situation?

  • Hello Moulin12 and a warm welcome to our forum!

I can understand your confusion and not knowing what to do next now you have come to the end of the 12 week period. I think you would need to give your GP a call maybe tomorrow and discuss this in detail with your doctor. Mention that you work in the local supermarket and don't be shy about being honest and stating how you are feeling about going to work, whether this is giving you anxiety for example. Your doctor will be in full knowledge of your medical history and therefore will be in the best position to advise you and tell you what the next steps should be for you. Every shielder has a particular set of personal circumstances and medical issues so it is best to get targeted advice on this.

I hope that you will hear from others on our forum who also have ET and have been advised to shield and are facing a similar situation regarding going back to work.

    Best wishes,
