Just want to say that my appointment time for breast biopsy results was 4pm. I had been told by eyerone id met at my original appointment (and also given a leaflet saying the same thing) that I would be phoned with my results. So when I saw the letter come in the post and then the 4pm time, I had myself convinced it was bad news as otherwise they would have phoned me. Anyway it wasn't bad news, they just wanted to explain and talk about follow up etc but no cancer!!!! So I hope this helps to reassure anyone that gets a letter to attend for results rather than a phone call, and also appointment times don't have any bearing either. I would recommend anyone though getting results of any test in the hospital to bring a relative or friend as it's handy to have someone else to hear any news you get (good or bad) and to ask questions etc too and then you will always have someone to ask "did the doctor say this or that or what was it he said about that again" etc good luck to anyone waiting on results. It was without doubt the most horrendous week of my life x
