Breast lump

I'm 72 I found a lump in my left breast wasnt looking for it but there it was quite big! I've appointment at breast clinic in a weeks time it cant come quick enough.  It seems to be tender and a little sore now where as before I found it I felt nothing! I must admit I've touch it a few times . I'm on my own I have family round me but because my age I'm classed as vulnerable. My husband is stranded a board been there since I returned in February. It's a long story but I was supposed to return but with lockdown and boarders closed it's been a hard time for lots of folk .

    I just wanted to welcome you to our forum and wish you the very best for your appointment at the breast clinic next week. I can imagine the wait must be really stressful for you but it won't be long now until you get seen and find out more about it. It must be especially hard in the current climate being vulnerable and being unable to see your family. Try and give them a call instead - it might help to talk to them on the phone if you feel ready to share your worries with them but I can imagine that the person you would wish to confide in the most at the moment is your husband and I am so sorry to hear that he is currently stranded. I hope you can be reunited soon so that he can be by your side while you are going through this stressful time.

    Thank you so much for replying to me I was beinging to think.i hadnt posted or done something not right as my first time on here . Yes it's a anxious time and I'm ticking off the days to Tuesday when I shall no my fate . I know 80pc of lumps turn out to be non cancerous just hope I not one of the 20pc that do . But thank you again it's nice to chat xx
