Grade 2 invasive lobular carcinoma - my journey so far

Hi I was diagnosed Jan 2017 with the above quite severe. Had   MRI and bone scans. Had 6 months chemo within weeks and was booked in for a mastectomy and radiotherapy in Aug. After chemo I was told no surgery needed as chemo had done the trick, put me in herceptin and pertuzamab which I have every 3 weeks at MDU and Tamoxifen.  I have MRI scans every 6 months and pleased to say just had my 3 year results with no active cancer anywhere!  My treatment is indefinitely as cancer type nor curable but treatable and so remains under excellent control.  The anxiety doesn't go away though especially result days but I have learnt to live with it and try not to overthink things.  We are all unique and treatments differ but the fact I didn't have to go thru surgery is a miracle.  Hoping it continues for some time to come, hang on in there, chemo wasn't pleasant, lost my hair and eyebrows/lashes this was the hardest part as your appearance changes without your control but it soon grows back so all good x
