New small lump like a lemon pip

Hi

I am new to the forum as today I have been referred under the 2 week rule to see the breast specialist. I found a small lump in my right breast about 4 weeks ago. I wasn't sure what to do so watched and waited and its still there and not changed.

I don't have any pain unless I poke it a lot it gets a bit achy and feels like a small lemon pip. It doesn't move easily and is right in the inner outer side of my right breast. Not sure how long it's been there but it's definetly not on the other side.

Anyway I just wondered what others had experienced and if I should know what to expect now.

Thanks and love to all x

  • Hi PG26

the breast clinic will offer a mammogram, ultrasound and biopsy (if required). There are really lovely people there and they will explain what they are doing and why. Good luck x

  • Thanks lovely. I got my letter today which I was surprised as it was so quick. Hopefully nothing to worry about but just doesn't feel quite right.

    Hi PG,

I am delighted to hear that your appointment for the breast clinic has come through already and, I hope that it is quite soon. This is always a worrying time, with so many unknowns surrounding you. Please bear in mind that a referral to the clinic is as much to rule out breast cacer as it is to find it. Only 1 person in every 8 referred will be diagnosed with cancer.

You know your own body better than anyone, so you are as well to check this out. There are a number of other reasons for breast changes, so I sincerely hope that you'll be one of the lucky people.

Do please let us know how you get on. We are always here for you.

    Kind regards,

    Jolamine xx

  • Only a day to go till I see the breast clinic but think I've two lumps as just found one close to my armpit on the same side...

    HI PG,

I just want to wish you all the best for your appointment at the breast clinic. You will probably have the tests that Magpiemaggie mentioned and, then have to wait for a week or two to get your results.

I hope that it all goes well for you. Don't forget to let us know how you get on.

    Kind regards,

    Jolamine xx

  • Hi

What a surreal experience but credit to the clinic for maintaining this vital service. Waiting in the car till called masks and ppe on arrival.

I saw the specialist on arrival who found two lumps one was my lymph node and the other a fatty type mass. She said she was happy and they felt benign but needed to check on ultra sound. The radiologist was happy with the ultra sound and was told nothing to worry about and come back if anything changes and I'll get a letter in the post.

    Thanks for yourposts.
