Hi, I had a smear test and mine came back high grade dyskrosis (can’t spell it) and also hpv positive, that was end of April and on 5th of May I had colposcopy and llets treatment to remove, and also biopsy taken? How long did you results take to come back? I’m so nervous I don’t understand it all, I rang my gp he said my results were in but it was down to the specialist to discuss with me? So why would my gp have my results and can’t tell me? It all worries me because that’s my first smear in 11 years, Thankyou

My GP phoned about my smear on Thurs. She thought I would have already got the letter. My colposcopy appt is 28th May.

I had other symptoms that prompted my trip to the gp. She said she could see ectropion but I think she could actually see cancer. They look quite similar.

I am such a worrier generally that is has me so scared. Im worried it might be adenocarcinoma that is usually higher up the cervix and that has now invaded the cells on the surface that they picked up on smear.

I can't stop reading other people's experiences and the ones most similar to mine say it came back as cancer.

It sounds like yours could be good news if it is a lower CIN that they thought?

Hi, OMG that sound scary, I basically just ignored having smears for over ten years and eventually I just went, and my results came back and the day after my appointment for treatment came for three days later something like that, did you have any symptoms ? When I spoke to my doctor he just told me they was back but can’t discuss with me which is odd but said he didn’t understand what things meant and had to wait for letter all’s he said was CIN 3 this that and the other I don’t understand his language esp on the phone when I suffer anxiety anyway, I’m hoping it’s all clear and another week of waiting for post, yours sounds worrying, please keep me updated with your results hun and I hope all goes well for you, one thing I would say is stay off google because I’ve tortured myself xx what was your smear results? Xx

Results were HPV positive and High grade moderate dyskaryosis.

Hi there, try not to worry although I understand how upsetting it is when you get the results back and it's not normal. It took about 6 weeks for me to get my results back. Finges crossed that you won't need anymore treatment

I'm just so confused as to why they are now saying my results are CIN1 after my Lletz treatment and I can't say I'm looking forward to having the procedure done again. I've got an appointment for the 2nd of June.

Hi, just wondering if anyone on here has had the LLETZ procedure & had to repeat it ?! I had mine about 4 weeks ago which I had to have done under a spinal block which wasn't pleasant!! Results have come back as higher than expected CIN3 so I'm anxiously waiting for a telephone consultation with the gynaecologist next week !! I really do not want to go through it all again & wondering if anyone has had this done under local anesthesia?? I'm 63 so obviously worried !!!!

I had 2 lletz, 1st was urgent appointment with Cin3  and high risk hpv, after 1st procedure and 6 months colposcopy results we're almost the same, cin2 +cin 3, hpv positive. It was same procedure, everything appeared exactly the same. Now 2 months passed and now, after a period I can feel light pain around location of cervix and have no idea what to do. Im not a fan of taking paracetamol to hide the symptoms of something that is not clear. Probably will wait few days and maybe it will go away.

so yeah, 2 procedure last and if needed, will do another 1 or two. Taking supplements, will also take supplements with Japanese mushroom to beat hpv, better diet, trying not to stress and exercise. Good luck everyone and always think of positive. Many people I know have happy stories even having cervical cancer, treatment is very advantageous these days.
