just a spot on the neck

Having a nice wet shave and took the top off a spot - it went funny went to the doctors and was referred to the hospital it turned out to be cancerous, went in for opp plus skin graft came out feeling fine - now been told that I have to go back in for a further opp as they did not get it all - wish me luck - no more wet shaving for me electric from now on

    Hi Harry,

    That's a shock for you. What type of skin cancer is it? If it's melanoma it's normal to do a further surgical procedure (wide local excision) as 'belt & braces' to ensure any stray cells are mopped up.

    To be truthful I do not know what type of cancer it is all I've got so far is - they need to cut into the ear muscle and I have been told that this will not affect my hearing but it will leave me with a numb ear

    It looks as though you have been through the hoop as well I trust that you are on the right side now - it was very nice to hear from you --- did not expect a reply as quick as that

    I'm sure your surgery will go well & you will be told more about your diagnosis afterwards. You sound to be very pragmatic gentleman & I wish you well. Take care & if you should need any advice then don't hestitate to ask.
