Hello everyone thank you again for great service,

I'm here looking for help advise, supported by understanding what's going on.  I really feel I've been misdiagnosed, with no one to help or very little.

My problems are being told that it's all cosmetic surgery, and they can only help if was cancerous on nhs, I have severe pains at 34 years old, lumps and a second ruptured implants. All so cant fight of infection.

im not sure where to post for advice or anything so please can you help direct to me.

  • Hello there,

my understanding is that if you pay to put them in,you pay to get them removed, and the NHS will only get involved if you are rushed in critically ill with your life in imminent danger, and at that stage would do removal only, which seems rather a drastic course of action to have to sit and wait for..If you cannot go back to the clinic that done the original on the basis of being faulty, then the only suggestion l could make is to approach some of the womans help and advice charities and see if they could provide you with any further actions you could persue.l hope you are able to find some help shortly, since this is not a nice situation to find yourself in,

  • Hi T.L

Not sure this is the correct place to post your query. However, your GP should refer you to have them removed on the NHS if they are in the way you describe. Could you formally complain to your GP's surgery and ask them to refer to the guidelines they are provided for the removal of ruptured implants?
Every GP's surgery should have a complaints procedure and an allocated person to deal with them.

  • Hi there !

I had a ruptured implant about 5 years ago and a litttle nodule I could feel under the skin , after being sent to the breast clinic and having a mammogram it was confirmed that my breast implant had ruptured and that I was told I could have them removed on the NHS but obviously could not have them replaced I was happy with this as I did not have the money to pay to go private .

    hope this helps .

  • Hello David

thank you for your kind regards and advice, yes I'm struggling to get the information or paperwork from a company that I went to, the company is liquidation process and operation under another name, I've asked for the information so I could, have gone back to manufacturing company which I would have been able to get help, without information it's impossible,

I will try your advice on this and see how I go, they is lot more to this without support but bit shy to really be fully open up as it's an open pages,

really appreciated of your time today,

hope your day is filled with joy,

  • as I've spoken before they is more to this and don't want to discuss or be discrimination against, I was just seeing how the site went and if people to give support, I'm under a specific breast team already and waiting on out come of that. I've had family members who are suffering breast cancer treatments, I'm appreciated of the services being for just this so, Thanks again for great quality of help with everything they do.

good morning and thank you for taking your time today,

  • Hi, I have today spoke to the MHRA 0203 080 6000 please give them a call and explain your situation. They can approach the people who fitted the implants to get details of batch numbers etc... they will then contact the manufacturer to advise them of the fault.
