Breast cancer

Hello I am new to the group and would just like to hear other people's views.

2 years ago I had a lump on the outside of my left breast so they done a biopsy and found classic lcis so then i had a  operation and they found pleomorphoc lcis so I had another operation and they took deep margins which came back clear.

They sent me to radiotherapy but the radiologist didn't want to give me radiotherapy as it was on my left side it would course more damage in the long run so i am just being  monitored for 5 years.

I  had my last mammogram in February and that come back clear but a week ago go I found a lump underneath my right armpit so now I am being referred back to the breast clinic.

the doctors always state that cancerous lumps do not hurt but in my experience that is not true.

  • Hi Mel and welcome to the forum.

I'm sorry about the lump you've found so soon after your mammogram but I'm glad you've been referred back for further investigation.

No doubt this will be a bit of a nerve-racking time until you're seen at the clinic again but I just wanted to let you know that you're not alone as many of our members have been in this position so I'm sure some of them will pop by soon to offer their support and advice.

Do let us know how you get on and we'll have our fingers crossed the lump is no cause for concern.

    Kind regards,
