Hello I'm new

Hi Im new here but i had a brain tumour medullstoma as a adult at 40 i am now 45 i have been clear since 2016 the tumour is niot present due not due to operationa  although i did have operations to remove 95% the other percent has gone maybe a mircule as after prayers i dont know . I have disabilties now amyway where i live is a building with other tenants who our mostly worse than me. What concern is a cannot leave my flat as others here too. I have receieved no letter. I believe this maybe because their are others here and we did get a letter saying one is in hospital and 2 self isolating i will ask the carers in the morning whether they have coronovirus as i do worry on it. I do my best to stay active in my flat but is monotonous now.   It was better when we could at least go out once a week but cant do that now either has been last few weeks now.. i just wondered what people thought. I was also told by hospital they postponing my scan i normaly have . Is thiis what happens now?

  • Hi Smiler,

I noticed you haven't had a reply yet so I just wanted to stop by to let you know your post has been seen and welcome you to the Cancer Chat forum.

I'm really glad your operation was so successful in removing your tumour and you have been cancer free since. Quite a lot of members have found their scans are sadly being delayed or cancelled due to the coronavirus so you're not alone and I'm sure you'll get their thoughts and advice on this soon. Our cancer nurses are also available on 0808 800 4040, Monday - Friday between 9a.m - 5p.m if you'd like to have a quick chat with them about this as well.

    Stay safe Smiler.

    Kind regards,

    Steph, Cancer Chat Moderator
