Just to say hi !

I have recently been diagnosed with primary pancreatic cancer and secondary stomach cancer. Unusually the cancer is at the tail end of the pancreas. I am feeling very lucky to have been diagnosed due to the fact that despite ongoing stomach pains and blood tests at my GP nothing showed up. I was simply diagnosed with a possible acidic stomach and given omeprazole. It was only after I took myself to A&E with severe stomach pains that I met a consultant who decided to to look at matters further  and had a couple of CT scans. It was the second scan when iodine was injected into my bloodstream that the tumours became clear !  Following a biopsy to confirm matters I am now waiting to see my cancer specialist a week on Friday to look at treatment.

I am in good spirits, some mild pain and discomfort but trying to keep as fit and as well as possible, and self isolating of course.  Difficulty in sleeping is an issue and I wake up several times a night with a dry mouth and have a visit to the toilet. Hopefully things might improve when I start treatment. Any advice here would be welcome.

anyway I think that is everything for now. Take care everyone and stay safe.
