Hi,
I was diagnosed with lymphoma in 2017 and have been in remission for 2 years. I received a letter from the NHS saying I was in the extremely vulnerable group and I should shield myself for the next 12 weeks. I was surprised to recieve the letter as my last chemo was in Feb 2018 and my consultant last year said my immune system was back to normal. I tried to contact my consultant but got through to my nurse who wasn't sure why I received the letter. I have 2 young children at home and I don't want to isolate from them if I don't need to.
Has anyone received this letter and has been in remission for a few years? Have you managed to clarify things with your consultant?
Thanks.
