Longtime diagnosis

I am 78 and was diagnosed with adrenal cortico carcinoma at the end of last August after a couple of months of faffing around. I have had six cycles of chemo - four days every four weeks. Side effects not too bad fatigue and neuropathy to my ankles. I also take six mitotane a day which make me slightly' woozy' for half an hour after.

The results have been good. The main tumour, tumour on my liver, lesions in lungs and lymph glands all have shrunk considerably and become necrotic. So results seem to be good. I am having a ctscan next week so I will know more after that.  I am having a chemo 'holiday' for a few months but continuing with the mitotane. The Consultant believes that there is a chance that will 'improve' things. I am also told that I am 'in remission' in writing even !

keeping my fingers crossed and praying.
