Possible ovarian or endometrial cancer and panicking

Hi

i posted a reply to someone else's thread but thought I'd also post something on here.
I'm 54 and on HRT and have been having some bleeding for some time - which was blamed on HRT. A few months ago I developed pain in right hip, then lower back, then ovaries so I was referred for internal uterine scan which happened yesterday - 'just to rule things out'. I know these symptoms are signs of more advanced ovarian or endometrial cancer and I know the ultrasonographer found things she didn't like - they're not allowed to say anything but partly her reactions and partly the fact that she initially said results take 5-7 working days and finished by saying she'd fast-track my results and they'd be there by Wednesday. I am now FREAKING OUT - particularly because of the timing with this covid crisis and in my head I'm dying imminently and my three amazing daughters (14,18,24) are growing up without me. What am I going to do?

  • Welcome to the forum Nikkia although I'm sorry to read what's troubling you.

Many of our members have had similar thoughts when anxiously waiting for their results so you're not alone and I'm sure some of them will be along soon to offer their support and advice.

These are unsettling times for sure but fingers crossed everything will be o.k.

    Kind regards,
