Still waiting for ENT appt

Hello to everyone

I've had a recurring cough since November with head cold/sinusitis symptoms. I thought maybe I had tonsil stones as felt something was stuck in my mouth. I had a check with a mirror and phone torch and found a lump on my soft palate so I went to the GP who had to call in his colleague as he wasnt sure what it was - same as the senior GP, they found one of my nodes swollen and referred me to ENT. That was 4 weeks ago and I'm still waiting. I rang the GP 2 weeks ago to say I could see a change in the lump and no one rang back to suggest anything! I'm on long term sick due to Anxiety and depression so this is obviously not helping.

Should I be pushing to see ENT asap? I am worried it's something sinister but also dont want to take someone else's appt if it turns out to be nothing!

I do have other symptoms but they can be explained to other conditions but if they are all linked to this lump and its mouth cancer I could of been treated weeks ago.

I dont want to bother anyone yet I'm scared for my health!

Thanks for reading

I'm sorry to hear that you've been dealing with an ongoing health concern for the past few months. If you've been referred to the hospital then maybe consider giving them a call to see if they can tell you how long you may need to wait for an appointment. Having this information may help you feel less anxious. However if you're still concerned then do get back in touch with your GP to discuss things further.

    Best wishes,
