Hi there, just wanted to give you some reassurance on your upcoming op. Last August I was admitted to hospital following an upper GI bleed and heart attack. CT scan followed which showed a massive ovarian cyst, 37cm long and filling my abdominal cavity completely - hence the heart attack. Fast forward to 6th November, I had the cyst removed, full abdominal hysterectomy, omentum removed, appendix removed. Biopsy of the cyst, which was 40cm by the time it was removed and weighed 12,5kg, showed it was a borderline tumour, not cancerous. I’ve only this week returned to work on a phased return, and feel achy and tired every day, but have absolutely no regrets about the surgery (I have an almost invisible scar thanks to my amazing consultant surgeon who glued me back together). I’ll be thinking of you tomorrow. Positive all the way. Please keep me updated lovely xxxx

Just to let you know that I'm back home now, full hysterectomy, removal of appendix, omentum and some lymph nodes, I was so relieved that it seems confined to my ovaries (if it is cancer) won't know til the biopsies are back which could be a couple of weeks, so just taking it easy now and resting, I'll keep you posted x

Hi got my results back today and nurse said it was borderline so no further treatment needed I'm over the moon and feel like it's not real, I'm still recovering from the hysterectomy but I'm doing OK I think xx

I’m so happy to read your news and I know that exact feeling, as my results were the same as yours. Breathe a sigh of relief and look ahead. It will be a little while before you feel completely up to par - my op was last November and I still struggle a little with a few things. Energy levels being the main thing which frustrates me! Hello. Just come upon your thread. I'm having hysterectomy match 3rd due to large fibroid. Originally said saving ovaries, now discovered I have cysts on my ovaries. Dr said in a matter of fact voice the one doesnt look typical of a cyst. I never asked anything as I was alone and went sweaty and room span. I'm so scared and it's a month away. So much uncertainty with whether I'm having keyhole surgery now due to large cavity or even keeping my ovaries. And now what is growing on my ovaries. I feel sick day and night. God knows how I will be on the actual day. Crying on and off alot
