Hi everyone , I'm new here ,

I have recently been diagnosed with follicular thyroid ca , after a biopsy was inconclusive so I had a hemi thyroidectomy.

I am 32 and a mum to 4 girls youngest being inlay 4 months

I am awaiting a ct scan to check everywhere else so fingers crossed all is well.

I'm struggling to cone to terms with my new diagnosis and what this means for my futute .

Would love to hear from anyone is a similar boat

Hello Yazzypops and welcome to the forum.
I'm sure that lots of our members here will be able to understand how it can be difficult to get your head around a diagnosis of cancer. It's natural to be concerned about what the future may hold.
I've had a quick look through the forum and I can see that this thread here has a couple of members who have follicular thyroid cancer. Although the thread has been quiet for a little while, if you post a reply you may get a response from one of them.
We do have some general information about thyroid cancer here on our website and we also have a team of nurses that you can call to speak to if you've any specific questions or would just like to talk things through with them. They are available on 0808 800 4040, Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm.
