high grade dyskaryosis And HPV

Hi All.

I received a letter last week to say I had HPV and High Grade Dyskaryosis. On the letter it advised I needed to attend a colposcopy and they will carry out treatment to remove the effected area.

I attended my appointment today at the Colposcopy clinic. Unfortunately they were unable to remove the effected area as the area was to large and to deep for them to remove. She taken 3 Biopsy and is going to be sending them off.
She advise that I will now be referred to another local hospital to have the effected area removed under general anaesthetic.

Has anyone else had the same?
I must admit I am extremely worried that she has found something.

  • Hi Jmarie,

I noticed you haven't had a reply yet so I just wanted to pop by and welcome to the forum.

I'm sorry the colposcopy clinic weren't able to remove the affected area but fingers crossed the hospital you've been referred to can.

Hopefully some of our members who have been in a similar situation will reply to you soon but if you use the 'search forum' option in the blue bar above you should be able to find discussions similar to your own that you can join in on as well.

    Kind regards,
