Aching Testicle / Leg pain

Hi,

after a few years with this recurring problem I thought I'd come online for some help / advice.

A few years ago I had been experiencing a dull ache in my left groin whilst I was at work, this ache / burning sensation has gradually been felt down my left leg, at the same time exepeiriencing a dull ache in left testicle. Long story short I have had ultrasound on testicle twice, groin once which were all normal. I have also had xrays on my knee, hip and back which also came back normal. This issue has been going on for a long time now and I still have no answer

My ultrasounds are coming back normal but my left testicle is far from the same as the right, it is more painful to touch and it was only the other day I was feeling my testicles as you do and started to apply the same pressure to both my left and right to see if the problem was still there, as I gently had a feel my left one immediately started to ache which would not go away. It has triggered a few days of aching + worse feelings down my leg. The leg issues range from left knee feeling a bit numb in the morning / burning sensations / feeling of water dripping down it.

the doctor said I have just got a sensitive testicle but I'm not convinced just a sensitive testicle can cause all these problems in my groin area / leg.

I am not on any pain relief at the moment . I have booked in to see my GP again to try get a referral to some sort of specialist.

if anyone has any advice / has been in a similar situation please let me know! The constant worry of having this is driving me insane !

thank you

did you ever resolve this? I've also had the exact same issue for years but I think it's getting worse. Doctors always fob me off with 'veins'. Sounds silly but the dull pain feels like a blockage and feels like my testicle has twisted which never seems to be the case.

  • Hi There,

mine is the exact same the bottom of my left testicle is quite tender to touch and sometimes the vein bulges which is when it feels blocked and twisted just like you said which gives the impression of a lump

it has been an ongoing problem for years now, I remember going to the doctors back when I was at Uni in 2015 about a dull ache in my groin and have had a lot of anxieties about cancer to the point where I would hear the word cancer and my groin would feel like it's flaring up.  Although I have been scanned a few times and been given all clear it still worries me.  it comes and goes sometimes a dull ache all day sometimes nothing.

I was told I have a small Spermatocele in my left testicle but cannot be removed unless I went through private healthcare and that was probably the last time I spoke to doctors about it as they said there isn't much I can do. It's just a real pain in my life I can't even lay flat on my stomach or on my side at night as this puts too much pressure on my testicle.

I have actually got an appointment with my doctor next week to discuss that this problem will not go away and will ask to get a referral to see a urologist to talk with them further about it (fingers crossed I can get this appointment with the urologist)

I am glad I am not the only person with these worries. And I hope you get to the bottom of your issue too

  • Hi, hope u don't mind me commenting a year later! I'm experiencing the same thing right now. I went to the doctor to be examined he said there were no lumps or anything but sent Me away with some antibiotics and if that never helped would send me to hospital for a scan. Long story short I couldn't swollow the antibiotics as I struggle swallowing tablets so of course I still have the odd ache in my testicles 2 months later.  there's not one side i have more of the pain on it happens in both. Just recently I've now been experiencing low back pain and tingling in my back and in my legs and very worried its the big c and that it's spread. Could any 1 reassure me? Thank you
