Still waiting biopsy results

So 4 weeks wait now for colon biopsy results. Have been told my case is being discussed at the next MDT meeting, which will mean nearly 5 weeks since biopsy's were taken. So friends have said if it was cancer then I would of heard by now. Which I get, but my question is, if it's not Cancer why haven't they told me? Surely to give me piece of mind. I was initially told biopsy results would be back urgently within 2 weeks.

I feel so desperate waiting.

    Hi L,

    I've been reading through the posts and really feel for you having to wait and worry. My hubby is also waiting for results having had his third prostate biopsy. He waited 4 weeks so far and just received a letter this morning asking him to attend yet another consultation with the urologist in 4 weeks time! I'm trying to stay positive for him, no news is good news right?  Only I'm worried sick as they've said in the letter he is welcome to bring a relative or friend with him to the appointment.  My nerves are at breaking point!   My dad passed away from cancer in January - he was diagnosed late October, so time is of the essence and they know that so surely if it was bad news they wouldn't keep him waiting so long?

    Thank you for your reply. I have to agree it's the most stressful thing I have ever experienced.  I know exactly how you feel. I get that these results take time but would rather know, so we can get on with treatments etc.  Thinking of you and your husband x
